Before & After School Head Teacher

POSITION SUMMARY:

This position supports the work of the Y, a leading nonprofit, charitable organization committed to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. The Childcare Site Coordinator position at the Valley Shore YMCA manages the on-site childcare programs for early childhood learning located within elementary schools or other sites such as the Early Education Center at CBSRZ.

• Supervising program staff to assure all staff are providing appropriate services and following the policies and procedures of the program
• Providing a caring, comfortable, physically and emotional safe environment for the children in the program
• Planning, organizing and implementing age appropriate educational, recreational and enrichment activities
• Providing regular, ongoing, and as needed direct communication with parents and guardians
• Completing administrative responsibilities of operating assigned sites
• Fostering and maintaining positive working relationships with school personnel
• Ensuring all state and local health department regulations are being maintained
• Other duties as may be assigned
