Description:
FSRI is always looking for candidates that want to make a positive impact on the community we serve in!Position Summary: Work as part of a multidisciplinary treatment team in a day program for children with mental health needs. Some duties include educational/behavioral data collection as required; Behavior management, crisis intervention with and on behalf of students; Participation in multidisciplinary treatment team; Collaborate with clinicians and other service providers to ensure student/family needs are being met; Provides student and family case management services; assist in student meal program. Ideal candidate has experience with children with challenging behaviors/autism, good knowledge of boundaries and experience in a school or pediatric hospital setting. Year-round position, school schedule.Specific Duties/Responsibilities: Assist teachers in daily instruction of specifically-assigned student(s)Management of classroom grades, scores, student information, etc.Participate in IEP preparation, creation, and implementationEducational/behavioral data collection as requiredBehavior management, crisis intervention with and on behalf of studentParticipation in multidisciplinary treatment teamParticipation in student/family assessmentsCollaborate with clinicians and other service providers to ensure student/family needs are being metProvides student and family case management servicesTeach student/family self-advocacy skillsBuild and maintain positive working relationships with community organizations and service providersSchedule appointments with student/family based on students needsMaintain confidentiality of student/familyTransport student/family as neededProvide sensitivity to student/family cultural, ethnic, racial and socioeconomic issues and diversityServe as a positive role model to student and colleaguesMaintain or exceed productivity expectationsComplete all professional and administrative documentation and forms in accordance with agency standards and within established guidelines and time framesParticipate in supervision and staff trainings/meetings as scheduledAssist in the daily meal set-up/break-down for students, as well as other operational dutiesOther duties as assigned by supervisorQualifications: Bachelors degree in a human services field and/or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
Experience with ED/BD children required. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written required. Good computer skills preferred. Possession of a valid drivers license, reliable transportation and proof of automobile insurance required.
Bilingual skills optional.Bilingual skills are compensated by an additional 6%, above base pay. Physical Requirements: This position requires residential and community visits, employees in this position must have the ability to: Travel to and from students residence, community locations and office site, which could include using walkways, stairs and/or elevatorsAbility to lift up to 50lbsAbility to communicate by voice, use sight and hearingAbility to participate in physical crisis intervention with students as needed Dont meet every single requirement?
