Description:
DETAILS
- Department: Admissions
- Schedule: Full-time, 3:12 hr Night shifts each week; 7:00 pm. - 7:30 a.m., with rotating weekends and holidays
- Hospital: Ascension- St Joseph Hospital
- Location: Chicago, Il
Education: Master’s degree in Psychology, Social Services, or related field is required for this role
REQUIREMENTS
Education:
- High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate’sdegree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
Conduct interviews and behavioral health assessments for potential admissions.
- Provide admissions and intake services to patients and potential patients.
- Respond to telephone inquiries from persons seeking mental health care or information about mental health-related services.
- Admit patients to the hospital and register outpatients with appropriate physician orders or transfers to another facility.
- Document calls and related admission information.
- Review all paperwork accompanying patients to ensure adherence with hospital and regulatory policies.
- May staff a crisis hotline
