REQUIREMENTS

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• One or more of the following required:
• Counselor credentialed from the Tennessee Board for Professional Counselors and Marital and Family Therapists obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
• Bachelor Social Worker credentialed from the Tennessee Board of Social Workers obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
• Social Worker specializing in Clinical Practice credentialed from the Tennessee Board of SocialWorkers obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
• BLS Provider. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted preferred.

Education:

• High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate’sdegree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.

Provide behavioral health counseling services.

• Conduct patient assessments and establish therapy treatment goals.
• Administer individual and group therapy.
• Maintain thorough and confidential records of observations.
• Evaluate progress and effectiveness of therapy interventions.
• Provide patient with information regarding resources and therapeutic activities in the community.
• Work directly with the patient, family, physician and community providers to ensure active and collaborate care from the initiation of treatment to the time of discharge.
