JOB SUMMARY:

We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Behaviour Support Officer to join our fast-paced & supportive specialist behaviour support team. In this role, you will manage new NDIS referrals and intake of new participants ensuring timely and respectful communication. You will assist in supporting accurate data management and administrative functions for the behaviour support team across the state. This part-time position of 20 hours/week has the potential to evolve to full time work in the future. Perfect for a parent returning to work, or someone studying in a psychological or community services based field, this position has capacity for career growth and development.

Responsibilities:

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES OF THIS ROLE:

  • Referral Management: Engage with and manage referrals for new NDIS participants, ensuring positive initial interactions.
  • First Point of Contact: Provide timely, respectful, and responsive communication to participants and their key contacts. Address inquiries and provide clear information about our services and the process. Manage receptionist duties, including answering calls, and scheduling initial appointments.
  • Data Management: Operate and maintain systems for accurate data entry, record-keeping, spreadsheets, and filing systems. Ensure all information is up-to-date and meets NDIA and organisational requirements.
  • Administrative Support: Make informed decisions around the daily operations and delivery of administrative services. Handle confidential information with the utmost discretion and integrity.
  • Reporting: Collate and prepare data for end-of-month reporting to the NDIS Business Unit. Assist in the preparation of reports and ensure compliance with reporting requirements.
  • Practice & Performance: Participate in practice and performance reviews, contributing to the ongoing development and improvement of our services.

TO SUCCEED IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL HAVE:

  • Demonstrated experience in a similar administrative or support role within the Community Services sector
  • Relevant qualification related to Business Administration or other Community Services related field is desirable.
  • Experience surrounding NDIS frameworks and the use of PRODA is desirable.
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software
  • Excellent communication skills with a strong ability to provide clear, respectful, and timely information.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail with experience in data management, record-keeping, and operating administrative systems.
  • Ability to make informed decisions and manage daily operational tasks efficiently.
  • Blue Card for Working with Children and NDIS Worker Screening Clearance
