About the role
Are you ready for an exciting new opportunity in the Positive Behaviour Support industry? CPBS is seeking an experienced part-time or full-time Behaviour Support Practitioner to join our forward-thinking and dedicated team in our Gold Coast region. As a Behaviour Support Practitioner, you’ll report to the Regional Clinical Manager for QLD. You’ll play a crucial role in conducting assessments, writing behavioural support plans and programmes, assisting with the implementation of plans and supervision of other practitioners. The work is based on the principles of Multi-Element Behaviour Support (MEBS) and Positive Behaviour Support for children and adults in the home, community, and school/workplace settings.

What you’ll do

  • Provide direct behavioural interventions in individual and group sessions
  • Develop Functional Behavioural Assessments and Behaviour Analysis Support Plans
  • Provide support to Behaviour Therapists and Support Workers.
  • Perform Behaviour Therapist duties if required
  • Provide support and training to employees on clinical techniques
  • Develop and maintain professional relationships with all key stakeholders
  • Work with varying professionals including doctors, psychiatrists, speech therapists, and occupational therapists to develop and implement individualised client goals and checklists
  • Ensure timely and accurate documentation of incidents and plans
  • Assist the Regional Clinical Manager as required

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCES:

What you’ll need

  • A bachelor’s degree and/or post graduate qualifications related to Positive Behaviour Support
  • Proven experience as either a Behaviour Support Practitioner, Behaviour Analyst or Behaviour Therapist.
  • High level oral and written communication skills including the demonstrated ability to prepare and finalise technical reports in a timely manner
  • Demonstrated and effective time management skills including the ability to manage multiple competing priorities set in a fast-paced environment
  • A current NDIS Practitioner ID, NDIS Worker Screening and Working with Children Check.
  • Valid driver’s licence and vehicle
  • Willingness to complete introductory IABA training in Non-Linear Multi-element Positive Behaviour Support
