Description:
YOUR DAY TO DAY:
Networks are our key asset and enabler to better serve new and existing customers. Vodafone is a rapidly changing company that constantly invests in improving and optimising the networks. As part of this effort, we are looking for someone with a strategic and analytical mind-set to work within the Network Customer Insights team and ensure our commercial strategies are well reflected into Vodafone DE network demand forecasts and capacity modelling.
This role requires a candidate with business acumen and knowledge of the overall telecoms market in DE, who is passionate about technology, has experience with defining and communicating a business and technology strategy, and can engage effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
The main accountability of the role is to assist setting up the DE Mobile and Fixed Demand Forecast Process, which in turn will improve capacity modelling within Networks. You will work with the BEM Authority in DE to collate all of the necessary commercial input KPIs required to support the traffic modelling process. You will then translate the commercial inputs and model the outputs for the Mobile & Fixed Demand and Forecast Senior Engineers, so that the outputs can be translated into NW KPIs for capacity modelling purposes in the NW Verticals. You will ensure that the commercial inputs, modelling, and NW outputs are available to support the NEP and Demand Forecast bi-yearly process in a timely manner. Working with the business units you will also support discussions to agree demand phasing to support major tariff changes, new product introductions or technology launches. You will also support the NW Forecast Engineers with any new requests for information to support strategic initiatives.
The candidate will drive the embedding of commercial priorities and customer experience into Networks’ decision making. They will be able to successfully bridge the gap between the Networks and Commercial Teams. In particular, they will help prioritise and communicate the Networks’ initiatives, opportunities and constraints in order to support the commercial, marketing and brand teams to best serve existing customers and support the launch of new propositions. Conversely, the candidate will make sure that any decision regarding network strategy and investments reflects the relevant commercial strategies.
The successful candidate should also keep abreast of the evolution of fixed and mobile technologies, the wider ecosystem, the regulatory environment, the consumer demand and the competitive environment, and help update internal plans accordingly.
WITH THESE SKILLS YOU ARE A GREAT CANDIDATE:
- Fluent English (German an advantage)
- Great analytical skills when working with data sets coming from different business areas.
- Proven ability to analyse and interpret network demand in the context of commercial activities.
- Proven record of defining and implementing strategic plans.
- Good knowledge of mobile and fixed markets and networks and experience in the telecommunications sector (desired).
- Excellent communication skills – able to engage with stakeholders confidently and effectively; able to explain complex concepts in an accessible way.
- Excellent problem solving, analytical and communication skills.
- Demonstrate strong numerical and literary skills and advanced data analytical skills.
