Description:

WMR FX Benchmarks have been operating since 1994, and this role sits within FTSE Russell’s Benchmark & Index Management division and produces benchmark rates for Spot, Forward and NDF rates at fixed points throughout the global day, on a 24hr x 5.5 day basis. Benchmark rates are produced from Hong Kong Opening Sunday to New York Close Friday.
This role is for the ‘night shift’, approx. 10.00pm to 6.00am, on a Sunday night to Friday morning basis and involves the provision of accurate and timely benchmark rates to clients who subscribe to the WMR Spot, Forward and NDF services. These benchmark rates are published every 30 minutes and therefore the Content Operations Specialist will be a key part of the production cycle, taking responsibility for the process, beginning to end.
The team adopt ‘hybrid’ working, with a minimum of three days in the office each week, and two at home.

Role Responsibilities & Key Accountabilities:

  • Validates data in an accurate and timely manner using the knowledge of the tools and financial markets
  • Uses the approved sources to identify the data, make valuable contributions to the data or use the data as is defined in the collection policy
  • Performs data investigation on diagnostic, descriptive, and statistical output during the course of research projects
  • Participates in the development of new business proposals and assists on other on-going project work
  • Leverages specific market / language skills to deliver on customer / business requirements, adhering to the quality metrics set
  • Leads in the resolution of client cases by fixing the data integrity, missing data and other similar issues
  • Collaborates with internal teams and external teams to support sourcing and collection of data
  • Supports specific complex projects assigned and meets or exceeds the KPIs defined
  • Supports the implementation of process improvement ideas to improve efficiency and customer experience.

Essential Skills/Experience Required:

  • Demonstrate strong numeracy skills
  • Demonstrate literacy, both verbal and written skills
  • Able to understand and interpret complex market information
  • Have a high regard for accuracy
  • Be able to multi task producing accurate work under pressure of time
  • Effective at decision making, including when faced with partial information

Desired Skills/Experience Required:

  • Good interpersonal skills, able to work in a small team
  • Working knowledge of Office 365 applications
  • Understanding of the global financial marketplace
