Position Description:

As a Benefits Administrator, you will be responsible for working within the framework of a team and performing the following activities:

  • Participate in day-to-day administration of benefit programs, renewals and analysis.
  • Administer team member benefit programs.
  • Conduct new hire benefit orientations.
  • Counsel team members regarding eligibility and benefit plan coverage.
  • Ensure the benefits website is up to date.
  • Manage all new implementations and testing with regards to benefits and new systems.
  • Handle administration of the medical, dental, vision, life, LTD, 401(k), tuition reimbursement programs and COBRA for active and former team members.
  • Assist with open enrollment administration.
  • Prepare and lead 401(k) open enrollment presentations.
  • Maintain the benefits human resources information system (HRIS) database and spreadsheets.
  • Support the Benefits team by preparing and distributing benefit communications.
  • Provide a high level of customer service to team members by providing timely responses to phone and email inquires.
  • Communicate effectively and maintain a good relationship with all cross functional teams.

Position Requirements:

This position requires the following skills and attributes:

  • College degree with emphasis in Human Resources or work equivalent.
  • Enthusiastic team player with strong service orientation.
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Understanding of HIPAA, COBRA, and related laws.
  • Minimum 1 year experience in Benefits.
  • Excellent computer skills including prociency in MS Excel and Word.
  • Working knowledge of HRIS systems.
  • Detail oriented.
  • Organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and multi-task.
  • Adaptable and flexible to changes in work load and priorities.
  • Experience with benefit plans including 401 (k), medical, dental, vision, life and LTD.
