TBC markets on a wholesale basis to regional tire chains and distributors serving independent tire dealers throughout the US, Canada, and Mexico. DESCRIPTION

The Benefits Analyst will support the day-to-day administration of the company’s compensation, and health and welfare programs. Responsible for day-to-day electronic data interface between 3rd party benefit providers and the Company’s enterprise systems. Maintains benefit records and prepares documents and electronic files necessary for implementing benefit coverage. Able to consult and advise Associates on eligibility, coverage and claims procedures for group insurance and other related benefits. Works on benefits activities of a diverse scope requiring minimal interpretation of policies and guidelines.
This role will be a Hybrid work environment.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Accounting, or related field of study and minimum of 3 years’ experience in benefits administration.
  • Ability to understand and respond appropriately to requests and use independent judgement to take appropriate action and/or provide appropriate information.
  • Working knowledge of benefits related laws and regulations (FMLA, ADA, ERISA, Section 125, COBRA, HIPAA, ACA)
  • Must have good organizational skills with the ability to take direction, prioritize tasks and work independently with minimum supervision.
  • Demonstrated quantitative, critical thinking, verbal and written communication skills.
  • HRIS experience and report writing experience required. SAP Experience is a plus.
  • Experience with file integration with outside service providers.
  • Strong MS Office Suite Skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Responsibilities:

  • Administers and monitors electronic data transmissions for all external welfare plan vendors (e.g., health, medical, dental, vision, 401k, Health Reimbursement Accounts, flexible spending account and cobra) according to required schedules.
  • Providing benefit orientations and assisting employees with insurance related inquiries
  • Resolves errors associated with data transmission files and communicates with vendors about problem resolution.
  • Responsible for troubleshooting benefits technical issues relating to day-to-day operations of the ESS/MSS portal.
  • Documents, analyzes, and performs necessary testing of computer programs, third party software and reporting for one or more benefit programs. Serves as Benefit Department point person for software modification by IT programmers and HRIS Associates.
  • Assists with development of job description and job classification process to ensure consistency throughout the organization. Participates in the benchmarking of all job descriptions
  • Develop effective analytics and metrics to influence program direction and monitor impact and effectiveness.
  • Serves as a point of contact for auditors (both internal and external) and helps with data extraction and related audits for benefits and compensation.
  • Serves as primary to Retirement Plans Manager in 401k Plan reconciliation process and funding.
  • Manage and generate various benefit reports.
  • Tuition Reimbursement Program Administration
  • Assist in responding to information requests from the 401(k) Plan record keeper.
  • Assists in entering Associate benefit enrollment data into HRIS when necessary.
  • Creation of files for new hires as well as maintenance of active and termed files Assists with the annual enrollment process.
  • Responsible for investigating and responding to Qualified Medical Support Orders.
  • Back up for leave management program, including but not limited to managing the short-term disability payments in partnership with payroll and third-party administrator.
  • Responds to benefit inquiries from managers and Associates on plan provisions, benefit enrollment, status changes and general inquires.
  • Supports Benefit Department communications activity as necessary in the timely fulfillment of monthly benefit communications to newly eligible Associates and Associate’s transitioning in change of status.
  • Maintains confidentiality of proprietary information.
  • Other duties as assigned.
