POSITION SUMMARY
Reporting to the Manager, Total Rewards, the incumbent will be responsible for the effective administration of the national benefit programs including RRSP/pension and all group insurances such as health, dental and disability across their client group in Canada Cartage. Our role involves assisting employees with benefits-related inquiries, facilitating enrollment processes, tracking disability leaves and corresponding directly with our insurance carriers on different benefit related issues. Additionally, you will collaborate with the HR team and provide information to employees regarding their benefits options.

Responsibilities:
- Administration of the group insurance benefit programs including setting up deduction codes within our HRIS and any coverage details.
- Respond to benefit related inquires from employees and escalate as necessary
- Maintain the administration of the enrollment process for Benefit and Pension plans
- Extract various reports from the HRIS system for management to review
- Support disability leaves administration by tracking start date and end dates of leaves, while corresponding with our different vendors
- Prepare employee leaves correspondance for employees and tracking if benefit premiums have been received for these leaves of absences.
- Completes and processes various benefit forms to be provided to our vendors such as employer statements, benefit extension requests etc.
- Support on ensuring data integrity initiatives for all benefit related projects
- Provides monthly billing invoices to accounts payable for processing
- Support other benefit related projects and tasks as required on an ad hoc basis
