Responsibilities and Duties
We are looking to bring onboard a Best Practices & Training Analyst or Associate to support a government client’s Front Office strategy, business processes, and program management activities for the procurement line of business. You will support the Best Practices & Training Lead in developing and reviewing acquisition and program management documents and be responsible for the facilitation and administration of the Community of Practice centered around acquisition and program management best practices. Existing program management and acquisition best practice materials and groups are decentralized and scattered throughout various bureaus. Our goal is to consolidate all program management best practices and education into a centralized community of practice, which you would help develop and facilitate. You will work side-by-side with programs to share best practices, iterate on their submissions to the review Committee, and programs to understand what stellar program planning looks like.
Responsibilities and duties include:

- Refining the business case (e.g., problem statement, overarching goals, high-level strategy), processes, and procedures related to the best practices and training function
- Supporting executive-level meeting facilitation and scheduling, and facilitating new and recurring meetings to build consensus, gain approval on key decisions, and conduct research
- Conduct one-on-one and small group interviews to solicit stakeholder feedback
- Assist with the development of various presentations, briefing materials, plans, and infographics using Excel, Google, and MS PowerPoint
- Draft, finalize, and distribute meeting minutes
- As requested, conduct self-directed research and analysis, produce reports and presentations, and complete other work, as assigned
- Perform other administrative and management (e.g., conducting stakeholder briefings and feedback sessions) duties as assigned
- There will be ample opportunity to learn new skills (e.g., consulting frameworks, story-lining in PPT, process improvement, project planning, facilitation, etc.) and grow in your role to take on more responsibility
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
- Minimum of 2 years of work experience providing mid-level project and program support within the Department of State, DoD, or other Federal agencies
