We are looking for a People Operations Specialist to join and work alongside our People Operations Lead Bulgaria and our growing international department. Our People Operations Team is split into two verticals: tactical operations such as finance, invoices, bonus and appraisal management, payroll etc; and employee experience. We are hiring this position specifically for someone with a passion for numbers and spreadsheets to support the wider people function.
You would report to our tactical People Operations Lead and collaborate with the wider Team. You’d be predominantly responsible for a variety of financial support services and administrative activities to keep systems running smoothly. You would also interact and communicate with our staff community on a frequent basis.
The People Ops Specialist will have an integral role in the teams’ overall success and you will have an opportunity to learn, grow and cultivate your own career path along with the support of the wider team at Sporty Group. We always work toward supporting Company goals, in this case enabling Talent Acquisition and retention of our workforce.
Responsibilities:
Support the People Operations Lead in the execution of seamless payroll flow;
Collaborate with managers regarding monthly working schedules and forward these to our payroll provider;
Ensure spreadsheets are meticulously current with accurate data;
Improve spreadsheet features and functions;
Ensure all invoices are stored correctly and have been authorised for payment;
Liaising with suppliers, our Accountant, our Finance Team and ensuring timely payments;
Add all BG expenses for employees to the relevant files and forward these to our payroll provider;
Manage legally compliant Annual Leave and Sick Leave payment tasking;
Generally support and optimise all dept areas and employee relations;
Keeping up to date with new iterations of our tools.
Requirements:
2+ years relevant experience;
Notable experience in Bulgarian payroll tasking and management;
Experience working in a fast paced iterative environment;
Tech savviness with an ability to understand and adapt quickly to systems and tooling;
Great organisation and time management skills. We refer to the Eisenhower principle and 80/20 principles to prioritise workload and improve;
Detail oriented with strong organisational and analytical skills;
Strong initiative and ability to problem solve;
An ability to work autonomously and independently in a remote environment;
Outstanding written and verbal skills in English;
Meticulous attention to detail;
Outstanding interpersonal and collaborative skills;
A great working attitude and team mentality;
Financial or numerical qualification or education is highly advantageous.
