Description:

This unique Clinical Innovation Fellowship will combine continued clinical exposure and medical innovation.
The Fellow will lead on Trust-wide Innovation activity, support integration of innovative ideas throughout the Trust and will have the opportunity to be involved in the development of a novel Medical Technology solution from problem identification, ideation, early development and implementation.
This immersion in the innovation pathway will be supported by innovation mentors within BHT, as well as the Business and Enterprise team at the University of Buckingham and CodeMed.
The BHT Innovation Fellow will spend 2.5 days per week working on Innovation and the remaining 2.5 days in the clinical speciality of their chose. This is to allow the Fellow to maintain clinical contact and continue to develop their clinical acumen.
The successful candidates will also be expected to develop their skills in innovation-related research and the delivery of staff and student teaching.

Through our Innovation service we tackle challenges and drive improvement in products, clinical pathways, MedTech and Artificial intelligence (AI) solutions as well as product evaluation and accelerated adoption to improve patient outcomes. Innovation role
Support the Associate Medical Director of Research & Innovation in their role
Work with innovation project managers to deliver projects
Design and deliver a novel healthcare technology innovation, supported by University of Buckingham and CodeMed
Design and deliver health technology educational content for both Trust colleagues and associate undergraduates
Develop a skill set to allow progression to a more senior role in healthcare innovation
Clinical role
To have regular meetings with their Clinical Supervisor and a yearly appraisal
To follow Trust guidelines and pathways
To actively participate in departmental teaching
To reflect on clinical practice to demonstrate learning and progressio
