As a business intelligence analyst on the data and analytics team, you will work closely with a group of analytics professionals and both technology and business stakeholders at Best Buy, to create personalized, meaningful, and respectful relationships with our customers at each stage of their shopping journey.
We practice a remote first working model, leveraging in-person interactions at our head office in beautiful Vancouver, BC, for strategic, collaborative, and social purposes.

What you’ll do:

  • Build executive and operational dashboards that help the enterprise track performance, get insights and find new opportunities to serve our customers better
  • Drive ad-hoc investigations and analyses to address business questions, evaluate new business opportunities, process improvements, and operational changes
  • Support cloud migration of data and reports to Azure Data Lake, Fabric, Powerbi.com
  • Develop and maintain critical data flows, ETLs, and other analytic products, consolidating data from various sources.
  • Provide analytics thought leadership in a high-profile project that significantly impacts business.
  • Partner with business leaders and stakeholders to find creative solutions.

What we’re looking for:

  • 4+ years of experience in data analytics with strong stakeholder management skills, including business intelligence development, ETL and descriptive analysis.
  • Advanced Proficiency with programming languages such as Python (data analytics use cases, data pipelining, reporting, API), SQL and database management (e.g., work with DB objects, creating tables, views, stored procedures, functions, optimization) and DAX, maintaining and building Power BI dashboards
  • Experience with visualization and data modeling design and tools.
  • Experience working with loud services like Microsoft ADLS and Synapse, and knowledge of Snowflake and Fabric.
  • Fast and Independent learner with an agile mindset on delivering value iteratively and adapting quickly to change.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).

This role is overtime eligible.
