MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Three (3) Year Degree, Advanced Diploma or equivalent at NQF Level 7 in information systems or analytical field with 3 years relevant experience,

- Senior Certificate (with Bachelors pass) and Industry recognised certifications or accreditations in similar fields with 5 years relevant experience.

ROLE CLARIFICATION & KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS
The University of the Western Cape’s (UWC) Information and Communication Services (ICS) Department play a pivotal role in delivering ICT services that enable and support the University’s strategic goals and objectives. ICS, in line with growing its capability and supporting the Digital Transformation Strategy of UWC, offers an exciting opportunity for an experienced HR Support Administrator in the ICS Applications Development and Support unit.
To be part of a team responsible for the creation of robust applications and solutions from business requirements. The incumbent will be responsible for development, maintenance, and support of current and new applications and solutions. They will report to and take instruction from the Team Lead of the Business Systems Unit.
THE KEY ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE POSITION INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
- Identify source data, source systems and data mapping required to deliver the Business Intelligence layer (solution), including the reporting server (data warehousing)
- Establish and build relationships with customer stakeholders
- Advise customers on options available for display and analysis of information
- Examine company data to improve its efficiency, decision making, and overall performance
- Development and administration of BI tools
- Transform raw data into meaningful insights through interactive and user-friendly dashboards and reports
- Report, build dashboards and data models and Analysing datasets
- Design, build/develop and deploy reports and dashboards
- Understand business requirements in the BI context and design data models to convert raw data to meaningful insights.
- Scheduling of complex refresh of data
