We are now looking for a BI Developer to join us on a full-time, permanent basis.
As a BI Developer, you will support our Finance stakeholders by maintaining and developing reports using Power BI, analysing complex data sets, and generating insights that drive business decisions. Reporting to the BI Insight & Data Science Manager, you will develop a portfolio of data & analytic projects, creating impactful Power BI dashboards to improve data-driven decision making, whilst at the same time identifying opportunities for improvement.
The role will offer a salary of up to £40,000 (Depending on Experience), with the opportunity to work remotely, up to 4 days per week.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Data & Analysis
  • Effectively analyse business requirements and deliver accurate and effective reporting and insights to drive business decisions
  • Support stakeholders to identify reporting needs and requirements
  • Effectively plan and execute activities such as data cleansing, data migration, ETL, data modelling and mapping
  • Responsible for developing DAX queries and functions in Power BI.
  1. Training & Support
  • Provide appropriate training and materials for delivered solutions.
  • Identify data integrity issues and assist to design solution fixes
  • Ensure issues are investigated and resolved to all stakeholders’ satisfaction
  1. Project Management
  • Manage allocated data and analytics projects, to ensure these are successfully delivered on time.
  • Effectively communicate with stakeholders, meet on regular basis to provide project updates.
  1. Relationships and Team work & Continuous Improvement
  • Liaise with the wider BI team members on a regular basis to enhance and share knowledge, assist in team projects where required.
  • Build strong relationships with key stakeholders and other members of the BI Team

Key Requirements:

  • Proven experience in relevant role
  • Power BI qualification highly desirable.
  • Experience working with data with a focus on analytics, data cleansing, ETL, data modelling & data mapping.
  • Excellent Analytical skills
  • Power BI and SQL experience essential
  • Experience of working with relational databases and ETL tools
  • Alteryx experience desirable.
  • Supply Chain / Logistics experience desirable
  • Able to learn new systems quickly
  • Enthusiastic and self-aware, adapting style to the situation with excellent inter-personal skills
