Description:

As a BI Engineer at Centric Software, you will be responsible for enhancing Centric Pricing and Inventory solutions through insightful data visualization, supporting our customers and internal tea4ms in their decision-making and analysis processes. You will play a key role in providing insights into our innovative AI solutions, collaborating closely with data scientists, data engineers, and our sales team to discover requirements, prepare data, and create impactful dashboards.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • You completed your bachelor’s degree or an equivalent experience in computer science, Engineering, Mathematics, Economics, or a similar area.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in a BI-engineering role with experience in one of the following dashboards technologies such as Looker, Tableau, Power BI. Proven experience in designing and maintaining enterprise-level dashboards for internal and/or external end-users.
  • Solid knowledge in SQL with proficiency in Python. Experience with PySpark and Databricks is a plus.
  • A background in working with data in the retail sector is a plus.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to communicate complex ideas clearly to an audience that may not have a technical background.
  • Fluent in English.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable, automated, and user-friendly dashboards in Looker, leveraging data visualization and storytelling practices.
  • Design and build customer-agnostic data pipeline services in Databricks to prepare data for dashboards, ensuring data accuracy and integrity through rigorous data validation activities.
  • Understand business objectives and the underlying data to frame relevant KPIs for display on dashboards.
  • Act as a bridge between business and technical specialists, identifying requirements and data sources, and providing effective solutions. This includes requirement discovery, data gathering and manipulation, problem-solving, and communicating insights and recommendations.
  • Work closely with product management to generate ideas and transform them into valuable dashboard solutions.
  • Support solution documentation and help with dashboards, BI tools, and data interpretation to internal teams.
