As a BI Specialist, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing dynamic data visualizations, reports, and solutions that provide insights and support strategic decision-making. JOB DESCRIPTION

As a BI Specialist, you play a crucial role in strengthening our data-driven strategies. You will work closely with our Project Managers and (Business) Analysts to understand the needs across various domains. You will assist in defining and prioritizing requirements, enabling us to deliver tailored solutions for our clients.
In addition, you will be responsible for designing and further developing a BI model that addresses the specific needs of our organization and clients.

REQUIREMENTS

• Collaborating with Project Managers and (Business) Analysts to identify business needs.
• Defining, prioritizing, and translating requirements into actionable solutions.
• Mapping and closely monitoring data flows.
• Integrating sources into a data warehouse and translating them into datasets suitable for analysis.
• Designing and developing data visualizations (BI dashboards) and reports that provide strategic insights.
• Conducting market research to explore new data warehouses and BI tools, identifying applicable innovations for our Ometa product, and integrating them.
• Monitoring data quality and recommending improvements.

REQUIREMENTS

• You hold a higher education degree (Bachelor’s or Master’s), preferably in a field such as Applied Informatics, Business Administration, Data Science, or a related domain.
• You have at least 3 years of experience with BI and other BI tools.
• You possess knowledge of databases (e.g., SQL, DAX) and data modeling. Knowledge of Python is a plus.
• You are motivated, solution-oriented, creative, and an analytical thinker with a good sense of humor.
• You are fluent in Dutch and can express yourself easily in English.
• You can work well in a team and are capable of sharing your knowledge with colleagues.
