Description:
Metec Consulting Engineers, a forward-thinking design firm, is seeking an experienced Bid Administrator to support the smooth operation of its fast-paced office. This is a fantastic opportunity for a highly organized and motivated individual with a strong administrative background to join a dynamic team.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS:
Previous experience in a bid coordination or bid assistant role, ideally within a construction or main contracting environment.
Experience working on bids for projects such as commercial buildings, residential developments, public infrastructure, or industrial projects.
DESIRED EXPERIENCE:
Proficiency in using Canva, PowerPoint, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, capable of working with a diverse range of clients and team members.
Strong organisational abilities, with a proven track record of prioritizing workload and coordinating staff effectively.

Responsibilities:
Preparing and delivering high-quality bids and proposals to secure new construction projects.
Ensure all bid documents are formatted correctly, professionally presented, and error-free.
Track tender opportunities, identify upcoming projects, and log bid submissions in appropriate systems.
Maintain records of all bid feedback and results, helping to refine future strategies.
Coordinate and compile responses to clarification questions from clients during the evaluation period.
Liaise with key stakeholders, including IT, digital marketing, and external vendors, to manage office functions.
Manage office correspondence (emails, phone calls, post) and oversee the organization of filing systems and office supplies.
Ensure the office environment is well-maintained and equipped to support a growing team and client base.
