Title: Bid Manager
Division: Sales and Marketing
Location: London
Reporting to: Head of Bids

Responsibilities:

This is a varied role working closely with subject matter experts and senior stakeholder across the RLB UK and Europe business.
A key point of contact for subject matter experts and client delivery teams, you will be responsible for day-to-day bidding activities and championing best bidding practice.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Hands-on and end-to-end management of bids for public and private sector opportunities, ranging from SQs and RFIs, to complex strategic and high-value bids.
  • Build and nurture relationships with stakeholders and colleagues including client delivery teams, members of the wider Sales & Marketing team, and contacts in business support functions including legal, compliance, finance and HR.
  • Work with “bid allies” across RLB’s office network to promote and embed understanding of bid tools and resources and ensure the local application of consistent bid process.
  • Liaison with subject matter experts, giving guidance on the bids process and championing good practice.
  • Early positioning and capture planning, including market research, stakeholder profiling, market share information, competitor, and market analysis etc.
  • Lead and contribute to high-value, strategically significant and international bids.
  • Contribute to the maintenance of bid content database, identifying gold-standard content.
  • Support and drive visual impact in the format and design of bids and presentations, through the use of infographics, project imagery etc.
  • Disseminate and communicate client tender clarifications and facilitate appropriate action in response, via procurement portal.
  • Willingness to adapt and embrace ideas and innovations and contribute to programmes of continuous improvement.
