Description:
Agincare now have an exciting new career opportunity as Bid Manager, in our Bids Team (Part of the Commercial function), working with our newly promoted “Agincare Hero”, Casey, and her growing team! This is a thrilling time to join us due to our ongoing growth and expansion, and is an opportunity to progress and develop your career.
As a Bid Manager you will be based onsite at Agincare’s Head Office in Portland, Dorset, and so you must be located in Dorset or planning on relocating. We offer a salary of up to £55,000 per annum plus benefits including blue light discount package.
About the role
You will oversee the end-to-end bid process, from identifying opportunities to submitting winning proposals. You are responsible for formulating effective strategies for the bidding process, managing resources and compliance with client requirements. Working with our internal stakeholders, you will need to analyse and understand the sector and services we deliver to create high-quality content and increase win rates.
Your primary duties will include the following:
- Line management of the bid team, inclusive of bid writers and bid coordinator.
- Management of each bid from opportunity identification and qualification, through to contract award.
- Ownership of the bid / no bid decision process, summarising and objectively assessing if an opportunity represents good, profitable business and present to senior management via the rationale process.
- Developing and executing bid strategies that align with the company’s goals and client requirements.
- Developing compelling and persuasive bid content, including value propositions and technical responses.
- Coordinating with various teams, including finance, sales, legal, marketing, operations, to ensure all aspects of a bid are addressed.
- Managing bidding resources and timelines to ensure on-time and high-quality proposal submissions.
- Ensuring compliance with client requirements, regulations and industry standards.
- Monitoring and tracking bid performance metrics, analysing win/loss data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Conducting post-bid analysis and debrief sessions to identify areas of improvement and implement lessons learned for future bids.
- Managing successful bid handover process with contract colleagues upon award.
- Continuously refine and improve bid processes, templates and best practices to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
