JOB OPPORTUNITY

SWTCH is currently seeking a skilled Commercial Bid Manager to lead our bid management efforts and drive strategic initiatives aimed at expanding our market presence across Canada and the United States. This pivotal role will involve overseeing the end-to-end bid process, from opportunity assessment to proposal submission, and collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to maximize business growth in the commercial sector.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in commercial bid management at a start up, preferably within the EV or clean energy industry.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire cross-functional teams.
  • Lead a direct report to success
  • Exceptional strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the capacity to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Detail-oriented with a track record of delivering high-quality commercial bid proposals on time and within budget.

Responsibilities:

Commercial Bid Strategy and Planning

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive commercial bid strategy to maximize the company’s success rate in securing commercial contracts, encompassing pricing strategies, technical solutions, and value propositions.
  • Collaborate with senior management to set bid targets, define key performance indicators (KPIs), and establish benchmarks for success.
  • Conduct thorough market research and competitor analysis to identify emerging trends, market opportunities, and potential risks.

Bid Opportunity Identification and Assessment

  • Lead the evaluation of commercial bid invitations, requests for proposals (RFPs), and other solicitations to determine project feasibility, scope, and evaluation criteria.
  • Assess project requirements and develop tailored bid responses that align with client objectives and expectations.
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders to gather necessary information and insights for bid evaluation and preparation.

Commercial Bid Preparation and Execution

  • Oversee the development of high-quality commercial bid proposals, ensuring compliance with client specifications and requirements.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to gather inputs and insights for bid preparation, including sales, operations, finance, and legal departments.
  • Review and finalize commercial bid proposals, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and alignment with objectives.
  • Manage the bid submission process, including compliance with all pre-bid requirements, deadlines, and submission protocols.

Bid Management and Coordination

  • Lead the overall commercial bid management process, ensuring adherence to timelines, reporting requirements, and deliverable schedules.
  • Facilitate communication and collaboration among internal teams to streamline information flow and ensure alignment with commercial bid objectives.
  • Contribute to the centralized repository of bid-related information, including templates, past proposals, pricing data, and competitor analysis, to support future bid initiatives.
