YOUR MISSION (THE JOB DESCRIPTION):

Incumbent must be friendly, courteous and level headed at all times, yet fair and firm in solving potential problems or guest concerns. Must be able to work under the guidance, leadership and direction of the Shift Manager, Lead/Supervisor and Dual rate Lead. Must be able to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to perform essential duties in a satisfactory manner. The requirements listed are a representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. The Incumbent in this position is responsible for assisting in all aspects of the casino activities for the Virgin Hotel Las Vegas in accordance with corporate policy and Nevada State Regulations. Must possess mathematical skills, ability to observe and remember details, follow direction effectively and communicate in English. The Incumbent maintain a patient, friendly demeanor, possess effective listening skills, and have a proven record of good judgment. The Incumbent is responsible for the protection of the property, community policing, parking and traffic, crime prevention and service training. The Incumbent in this position is responsible for maintain good public relations, in assisting guests/customers and employees as needed.

Responsibilities:

THE NITTY-GRITTY (THE ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES):

  • Maintain a current driver license
  • Maintain a clean driving records and provide a yearly report
  • Completion and passing of the bike training program offered by PIMBA through LVCCVA
  • Maintain order of the property at all times
  • Patrol of the property and perimeter on bike and/or vehicle to ensure safe environment: including traffic enforcement, emergency response, security enforcement, ECT.
  • Coordinate and provide for the delivery of emergency services to the property
  • Assist in the coordination of some set-up and patrol of special events as required.
  • May be asked on occasion to assist game and slots department in removing drop boxes.
  • Reports unsafe or hazardous conditions throughout the property.
  • Assist the management team in ensuring proper arrest procedures and detainment techniques are carried out in violations of the civil laws or company procedures: assists various local, state, and federal authorities in various activities and investigations to ensure that procedures and laws are observed.
  • Make self-familiar of various ID’s/ DL and check identification of all persons that appear to be under 21 years of age.
  • Composes accident/incident reports. Obtain statements, witness statements, surveillance request and required documents for report when necessary.
  • Operates company vehicle in a safe manner.
  • Assists the casino management team in implementing and monitoring emergency procedures ensuring property and safe handling is such emergencies as fire, floor or bomb threat.
  • Ensures a safe and secure atmosphere/environment for customers and employees. And conducts himself/herself in a professional, courteous, and responsive manner which reflects positively of Virgin Las Vegas.

REGULATORY AND COMPLIANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

In addition to the other duties described herein, each and every employee has the following responsibilities related to compliance with laws and regulations:

  • Attend required training sessions offered by Virgin Hotels Las Vegas.
  • Perform the duties described in compliance with local laws and regulations.
  • Take the necessary steps to ensure minors are not allowed to gamble or loiter in gambling areas, drink alcoholic beverages, or purchase tobacco.
  • Have knowledge of the ordinances, regulations, laws, policies, and procedures relating to the employee’s department.
  • Consult Internal Control Procedures and Policy Manuals for guidance.
  • Report illegal activity to Security or the appropriate levels of Management
