Description:

We have an opportunity for a forward-thinking, self-motivated Bilingual Automation QA Analyst to join our IT team. As a key member of QA team, the Automation Analyst’s role is to ensure that quality assurance standards and procedures are met. QA Analyst should have impeccable attention to detail and maintain the highest standards of quality control, best practices, policies, and procedures.
- Perform functional, integration and system testing including performance, security, failover and recovery or other types of testing as required based on the project.
- Developing and executing automated UI and functional tests
- Scope out and script test cases for end-to-end/regression tests
- Perform manual API tests using ReadyAPI or Postman and strategize on automation.
- Experience scripting, maintaining and executing automated test scripts.
- Assist in project/release/sprint planning for development of test strategies and plans.
- Participate in the creation, implementation, and management of QA processes, tools, and supporting technology.
- Assist in deployment of application builds into various environments as required.
- Evaluate, document and communicate testing results to stakeholders to enable them to make decisions regarding project health with respect to QA.
- Experience creating clear and concise documentation in the form of test plans/test cases/scenarios/checklists and defects
- Maintain a positive attitude and contribute to the cohesion and effectiveness of the team.
- Providing guidance and mentorship to other resources, ensuring knowledge transfer and readiness post-project.
Qualifications and Competencies
Organizational Accountability

- Ability to prioritize and balance multiple tasks or projects.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and French
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills combined with a positive attitude, taking a team based approach
- Ability to think logically, analyze and/or solve problems.
Technical
- Experience with agile software development processes.
- Strong programming skills and coding knowledge in automation
- Experience with Smart Bear Automation tools (Nice to have)
- Experience with SQL querying relational databases such as Oracle or MS SQL Server.
- 2+ Years experience working in Scrum based teams.
Other Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, and/or equivalent work experience.
- 3 + years of automation experience
- 6 + years work experience as a QA Analyst and/or in insurance industry (nice to have).
