We are in search of a detail-oriented and highly organized Bilingual (English/French) Paralegal for our subsidiary, LendCare Capital Inc.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Paralegal Diploma or Certificate, Licensed with the Law Society of Ontario
- Accreditation in good standings
- Professional Liability Insurance
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in both French and English
- Knowledge of the Rules of the Small Claims Court and Small Claims Debt Collections
- Relevant working experience is an asset but not required
- Excellent computer skills and the ability to adapt to company systems
- Comfortable working independently and in a team environment
- A proactive mindset with the ability to consistently meet or exceed monthly targets.
- Valid driver’s license and vehicle for court appearances (mileage reimbursed)
- Fulltime availability (40 hours/week) and ability to work in our head office in Pickering, ON

Responsibilities:
- Draft and prepare pleadings along with a variety of legal documents with precision.
- Consistently hit or exceed monthly targets
- Proactively plan and prioritize tasks to meet critical deadlines and maintain workflow.
- Liaise with other members of the legal department
- Manage and maintain a high volume of legal files, ensuring organization and accessibility
- Actively prepare for and attend court appearances, providing solid support to our legal team.
- Oversee and coordinate legal settlements and collections processes
- Efficiently locate individuals and assets using Skip Tracing techniques
- Conduct thorough legal research to support case preparation.
