Do you have HR and customer service experience? Are you bilingual in both English and French? We are #hiring a Bilingual HR Advisor for our employee services team at our Calgary head office. If you have excellent communication skills, thrive in high volume environments, and have a continuous improvement mindset, we want to hear from you!
In this high volume, deadline driven environment, you will act as a subject matter generalist for HR programs, policies, processes, tools, and cycles. You will be the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders including current employees, former employees, retirees, HR counterparts, government, and bank agencies. You will demonstrate your commitment to providing exceptional customer service, while responding to requests regarding pensions, benefits, HR policies and procedures, payroll, and other general HR inquiries. You will use our human resources information systems (HRIS) to assist in maintaining accurate employee records and track all inquiries, issues, and resolutions through our case management system.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bilingual in both English and French
  • Three years of experience in HR and / or a customer service environment
  • A good understanding of HR processes, policies, and programs (Pension, Benefits, Payroll, Time Entry) with a professional commitment towards privacy and confidentiality
  • Working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite of programs and previous experience working with an HRIS
  • A Post-Secondary education in Business or Human Resources, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Strong problem solving, critical thinking, detail orientation and non-authoritative leadership skills

Responsibilities:

  • Resolve HR inquiries to support internal employee and external stakeholder inquiries, troubleshooting and escalating complex issues to subject matter specialists as needed (ex. Pension, Benefits, Payroll, Time Entry)
  • Utilize our case management system to stay organized and document all inquiries and resolutions
  • Meet quality assurance requirements and other key performance metrics while ensuring you are meeting our service level agreements
  • Identify gaps in internal processes and procedures and recommend process improvements
  • May complete salary recovery processes including factoring amounts, working with employees on repayment schedules, providing background and guidance, and entering associated transactions
  • Participate in ongoing training and learning opportunities, as well as special projects or initiatives

Location and other Key Details:

  • You will work out of our Calgary head office, located in the Suncor Energy Centre at 150 – 6th Ave S.W.
  • Hours of work are a regular 40-hour work week, Monday to Friday
