PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree and PHR / SHRM-CP
- Excel proficiency to include V: Lookup, data sourcing
PHYSICAL DEMANDS / WORKING CONDITIONS (environment, noise level, public interactions)
- Office working environment, regularly required to sit, stand, bend, reach and move about office building and job trailers
- Ability to drive to job sites to meet with teams/employees in outdoor construction environment and may include: high heat, walking on uneven terrain, climb / descend stairs, loud noises
- Lift and move up to 20 pounds
- Ability to wear required PPE on job sites
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED (KSA’s, Education, YOE)
- Bilingual English/Spanish speaking REQUIRED
- Minimum 3 years of experience in an HR Generalist role, preferably in the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of HR policies, procedures, and legal requirements
- Ability to tactfully and diplomatically speak with people and act with discretion
- Strong analytical skills, problem solving skills, and ability to interpret and communicate data
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
- Ability to travel between project sites on a regular basis
- High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office applications to include Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint for the purposes of data entry, report creation, and maintenance
- Able to work independently or with a tea

JOB PURPOSE / POSITION OVERVIEW
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced HR Generalist to join our team in the construction industry. As a vital member of our Human Resources department, you will play a crucial role in supporting our craft workforce and fostering a positive organizational culture.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing various HR functions, including employee relations, performance management, and compliance with labor laws. This position requires a deep understanding of HR best practices and the ability to navigate the unique challenges associated with the construction industry. You will work collaboratively with management and employees to ensure that HR strategies align with business objectives while promoting employee engagement and professional development. DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES
- Serve as a dependable resource for craft employees and their managers with employee relations and EEO initiatives.
- Provide guidance and coaching to managers and employees on HR policies, procedures, guidelines, and other Human Resources programs.
- Proactively respond to and address employee concerns verbally and in writing.
- Continually identify opportunities for continuous improvement within all HR work processes, policies, procedures, and HR services to promote high morale, productivity, engagement and retention.
- Ensure proper maintenance of confidential employee information and records. Ensure timely and accurate entries in all HRIS systems.
- Lead and assist with special projects related to the effective and efficient use of human resources initiatives within the business.
- Build professional relationships across the organization to promote policies, procedures, programs.
- Mediate and resolve employee conflicts and lead investigations to resolution, fostering a positive and inclusive work environment.
- Guide and coach supervisors through progressive disciplinary strategies.
- Maintain knowledge and compliance with federal, state, and local laws, trends, developments, and best practices in Human Resources.
- Professionally represent company through exemplary work ethic and respect for confidentiality.
- Provide English/Spanish language translation assistance as needed.
- Travel (up to 40%) Maricopa and Pinal County travel as needed to local construction sites for employee engagement, investigations, and EEO meetings.
- Perform other duties or special projects as assigned.
