Description:

NATURE & SCOPE OF POSITION:

Under limited direction will liaise with CHS customers and our suppliers, including Verathon Medical, V-Mueller, Medrx and more by telephone and/or email to manage the requirements of our customers. Initiates outbound sales calls for all divisions/lines.

General Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Assist in developing the sale of all product lines across the Canada
  • Manage customer accounts within the assigned region.
  • Identify key decision makers within an organization
  • Meet and exceed sales targets and goals to drive overall business growth
  • Contact customers and prospects on a regular basis via phone and email
  • Maintain a record of opportunity and sales information within pipeline
  • Leverage existing customer relationships and create additional opportunities by building, developing and maintaining new customer relationships. Maintain and grow business with existing customers and identify and develop new business opportunities with prospects
  • Address technical and business issues of prospective and existing customers including troubleshooting, price discrepancies and maintaining data integrity of product codes.
  • Promote products through campaigns and promotions
  • Work collaboratively with sales and marketing colleagues to close opportunities
  • Process sales orders
  • Provide product availability and suggest alternative products to meet customer needs
  • Estimate date of delivery to customer, based on knowledge of production and delivery schedules. Post sales support including estimations of delivery dates based on knowledge of production and delivery schedules, providing invoices for transactions and necessary supporting documentation, sales follow up to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Maintain thorough knowledge of CHS and all divisions/products.
  • Identify customer product needs and communicate volume forecasts with supply chain team to ensure adequate inventory of recurring purchases
  • Provide sales quotations and assist with customer contracts and pricing agreements
  • Liaise with fulfillment department BD and CHS purchasing team.
  • Support customer concerns including facilitating instrument and container repairs/replacements with Service Department and BD
  • Provides V Mueller cross referencing to customers and sales.
  • Makes outbound sales calls to MDRD with targets (replenishments and replacements).
  • Perform related duties and special projects as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION

  • Two (2) years inside sales or related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) with emphasis in Science/ Business desired.
  • Ability to deal with various customers and overcome objections.
  • Exceptional verbal, written and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with teams, work in a dynamic environment and quickly adapt to new corporate objectives.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks.

SPECIALIZED SKILLS

  • Experience using value selling or target account selling methodology preferred.
  • Intermediate level computer skills with knowledge of CRM system.
  • Excel skills, experience with MRP system a plus.
  • Strong telephone closing skills.
  • In addition to these specific requirements, you’ll also need to be an optimistic, creative problem solver with a sense of urgency and demonstrated ability to be highly responsive to customers. A friendly, upbeat and engaging personality will be essential to success.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

  • Must be proficient in written & spoken in French & English

TECHNICAL SKILLS

  • Solid keyboarding and MS Office skills including Word, PowerPoint and Excel is required.

    Work Environment, Health & Safety

  • The majority of the time will be spent in an office environment.
