We’re looking for a Legal Administrative Assistant at an exciting time - we’ve successfully launched multiple platforms and products, raised over $60m in VC funding, reached profitability, and have a growth trajectory of over 300% for 2024.
WHAT YOU WILL BE GETTING INVOLVED IN
At Scan.com, we’re on a mission to simplify and accelerate access to diagnostic imaging for patients and clinicians. As a Legal Administrative Assistant, you’ll play a crucial role in achieving this goal by supporting our patients, attorneys, and case managers. We’re seeking a resourceful, proactive, and entrepreneurial individual who shares our passion for revolutionizing the diagnostic imaging industry.
This is an in-office position, Monday through Friday 8am - 5pm at our office in the Perimeter area.
As an early-stage business, you can expect your role to develop over time. However, some of the types of things you could be getting involved in are:
- Communication with attorneys and case managers via phone and email to obtain and update case contact details and monitor case progress
- Contacting patients to confirm legal representation and promptly update internal records with any changes.
- Maintaining and organizing files, logs, and medical records to ensure information is accurate, complete, and up to date
- Preparing and issuing invoices in a timely manner, ensuring accuracy and adherence to billing procedures

You don’t need to tick all the boxes to apply for this role. Whether it’s your first role or your fifth role, we believe everyone can add value and that everyone should want to learn. However, these might be some of the ways you are currently adding value:
- Fluent in English and Spanish to communicate effectively with patients
- You have previous experience in MS Office products, especially working in Excel spreadsheets
- You pay strong attention to detail and are hyper-organized
- You’re a self starter and are highly self motivated
- Previous experience working in electronic health/medical record systems is a huge plus
- Working knowledge of HIPAA and other medical insurance regulations and terminology is preferre
