Description:
We are looking for a skilled Medical Virtual Assistant fluent in both English and Spanish to support our healthcare operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for a variety of administrative tasks, including managing inbound and outbound calls, scheduling appointments, providing translation services, and assisting with various departmental needs.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Fluency in both English and Spanish is required.
Previous experience as a medical virtual assistant or in a similar role is preferred.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
Proficiency in medical terminology and procedures.
Ability to work independently and efficiently in a remote environment.
Knowledge of medical billing and coding is a plus.
Familiarity with telemedicine platforms and software is an advantage.

Responsibilities:
Handle both inbound and outbound calls in English and Spanish.
Manage appointment scheduling and rescheduling for patients.
Provide translation services for in-office and telemedicine appointments.
Assist with patient intake scheduling and administrative tasks.
Support the surgical department with administrative needs.
Rebook appointments for patients who do not show up.
Coordinate authorization modification requests.
Manage billing inquiries and address prescription concerns.
Facilitate call transfers for the LA Team.
Support other departments with Spanish-speaking needs.
Send out memos and newsletters to management via email.
Offer support for English outbound calls as required.
Provide telemedicine assistance on HMO clinic days.
Handle additional tasks such as managing faxes, monitoring clinical inboxes, and checking portals.
