Description:
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Early Learning Mental Health Consultant will provide assessment and child and family goals for designated children birth to 5 receiving services in the ECLIPSE Program; assisting to determine eligibility for services and need for referrals to other community providers/programs. Provide observation and consultation in classrooms to implement behavior plans in the childs designated classroom.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
This position normally requires the physical demands of standing, walking, bending, lifting or performing other work requiring low physical exertion, as well as keyboard fingering, talking, hearing and adequate vision on a regular basis to perform the job requirements. These physical demands are required up to 90% of the time.
EDUCATION
- Masters degree in Behavioral Health or a related field
EXPERIENCE
- 2 years experience in Behavioral Health or Early Learning preferred
SPECIAL SKILLS
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Knowledge of evidenced-based and best practices in behavioral health with young children
- Knowledge of Washington Administrative Code for Child Care Providers
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated reflective practice skills with the ability to give and receive feedback
- Value and respect all people, their family culture, heritage, language and beliefs
- Maintain professional working relationships with childcare providers, community partners and stakeholders
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
- Maintain confidentiality according to professional standards
- Knowledge of service delivery area and resources
- Knowledge of Ages and Stages Developmental Screening (ASQ-3, ASQ-SE), and other early childhood assessments beneficial
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) required
