THE CANDIDATES MUST POSSESS THE FOLLOWING QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bilingual (English/French)
  • Education or experience in payroll (or a related field) is considered an asset
  • Some supervisory or managerial experience with possible opportunity to grow within the organization
  • A minimum of one year general office experience, preferably within a payroll environment
  • Demonstrated proficiency in MS office products
  • Must be highly motivated with an ability to manage a large volume of work effectively while adhering to strict deadlines
  • Strong organization and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and multi- task daily activities in a fast paced environment
  • Good written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact with internal and external customers
  • Strong Customer Service skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work with highly confidential information
  • Must be detail oriented with a high degree of accuracy
  • Ability to work with a team

Responsibilities:

  • Process and validate payroll information
  • Assist with the administration and processing of payroll activities
  • Issue Records of Employment
  • Compile and submit Garnishments
  • Respond in a timely manner to customers on payroll matters
  • Develop a knowledge of Union Agreements
  • Other duties as required
