Location: Imjin Barracks or Ashchurch, you will cover both sites
Hours: Monday-Friday, 8am-4.30pm
Reporting to the Built Estate Manager, this role will see you deliver all billable works up to 100k value across Imjin Barracks, Ashchurch, and other sites (within 20 mins travel time) in the Gloucestershire area.
You will liaise with the direct delivery team and contractors to ensure all billable works are delivered efficiently and are compliant with statutory legislation, MoD requirements and H&S standards, draft Statements of Need (SONs) to support requirements, providing optimal solutions to customer requirements, review and approve RAMS to ensure they are to an acceptable standard and meet Vivo’s H&S requirements, and provide technical support and advice to DIO and the customer, providing optimal solutions to meet customer requirements.
You will also manage cost and stakeholder expectation through excellent communication and sound commercial decisions, ensuring value for money, work closely with Approved Persons (APs) to ensure that all billable works carried out on site are conducted in accordance with JSP375, ensure all billable work documentation/information is completed in a timely manner (i.e. Statement of Need, Invoices, Purchase Orders, Maximo, etc), and ensure any complaints are resolved in a timely and satisfactory manner.
Please note this position is predominantly office based with the potential to carry out hands on works subject to qualifications. This is a very busy, fast paced role.
What You’ll Need To Do The Job
First and foremost, you should be an experienced Hard FM Manager with HNC/HND in Building/Civil Engineering or Electrical/Mechanical Engineering.
You should also hold Prince2 Foundation qualification, or have proven experience of managing small works projects in hard FM/Maintenance, including scoping/requirement gathering.
You will need to be a strong problem solver and decision maker, with excellent communication skills and stakeholder management skills, experience of CDM regulations, Asbestos and Legionella.
You should also hold IOSH or equivalent.
You will need a full UK driving licence and the ability to pass SC Clearance to be considered for the position.
