Description:
Our Client, a Freight Forwarding MNC is looking for a Billing Assistant Manager to join them!
Job Summary: The Billing Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing the billing department’s operations, ensuring accurate and timely invoicing, and leading a team of 4-5 billing officers. This role involves supervising billing processes, addressing customer inquiries, preparing reports, and providing accounting support. The Billing Manager will also ensure compliance with company policies and contribute to process improvements within the billing function.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in billing, accounting, or finance, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with experience leading and developing teams.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- In-depth knowledge of billing processes, financial software, and accounting systems.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time-management abilities.
- Ability to analyze data and generate reports to support decision-making.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle customer inquiries with professionalism.
- Knowledge of relevant regulations, standards, and best practices in billing and accounting.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a team of 4-5 billing officers to ensure accurate and timely handling of all incoming and outgoing invoices.
- Oversee the resolution of customer billing inquiries and ensure prompt follow-up and resolution.
- Develop, implement, and maintain efficient billing processes and procedures to improve accuracy and reduce processing time.
- Coordinate with other departments (e.g., Sales, Finance, Operations) to ensure proper invoicing and resolve any discrepancies.
- Prepare and present weekly, monthly, and ad-hoc billing reports to senior management, providing insights and recommendations for process improvements.
- Provide training, support, and development opportunities for the billing team to enhance their skills and performance.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies in all billing activities.
- Monitor and manage the team’s workload, ensuring deadlines are met and performance is consistently high.
- Assist with accounting support as needed and ensure alignment with financial records.
- Handle escalated issues and address any complex billing or customer concerns.
- Manage and maintain billing software and systems, ensuring accuracy and proper functionality.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by senior management.
