Description:
We are seeking a Billing Supervisor/Manager to join our team in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The primary function of this role is to oversee and manage all billing and Accounts Receivable (A/R) activities within the organization. This involves a significant amount of hands-on work, direct supervision of other billing & A/R specialists, and collaboration with other administrative departments.

Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage the entire billing process, including pre-billing activities, direct billing activities, revenue recognition, payment reconciliation, and overall A/R reconciliation.
- Ensure all billing and A/R tasks are completed accurately and in a timely manner.
- Communicate effectively with co-workers, supervisors, directors, and all agency staff, informing them about billing issues and seeking their assistance for proper resolution.
- Work closely with the Information Technology (IT) department to automate billing and A/R tasks, particularly in the areas of revenue recognition and payment reconciliation.
- Supervise other billing and A/R specialists, providing leadership and guidance as needed.
- Hire, train, supervise, evaluate, and where necessary, terminate billing and A/R staff in accordance with company policies and regulations.
- Participate in meetings with other departments as necessary, giving input on team issues and providing feedback on team-based processes.
- Contact outside agencies, banks, and other entities as needed to verify or exchange routine information.
- Handle significant hands-on work, including entering data and generating reports through a variety of online computer systems.
