We are a diverse and talented team of 90+, working in a collaborative studio environment, located in downtown Vancouver. Individuals take responsibility for projects from design to completion in a number of sectors, including infrastructure, institutional and recreational as well as mixed-use residential.
Job Description:
With direction from the Senior Management and BIM Manager, you will work alongside with other BIM Coordinators helping the project team in the delivery of quality design and well executed BIM models.
In this role, you will be responsible for supporting and overseeing the implementation and maintenance of BIM processes and technologies on multiple projects within a diverse range of project types, from mixed-use high-rise Residential, Transit Oriented Development, Purpose-Built-Rental to independent senior living. This role involves coordinating with project teams, ensuring office or project BIM standards are met. A critical focus of the role is contribution to establish a streamlined, single-workflow approach that enhances project deliverables and drawing set quality across all projects.
Typical tasks include maintaining and expanding office standards, conducting model audits, troubleshooting, training and mentoring team members, and driving productivity improvements across project teams.
We are looking for:
- Architecture, Engineering and/or technologist education background is an asset.
- Familiarity with IT Administrative functions and processes is an asset.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in similar role within an architectural or engineering firm
- Excellent knowledge in REVIT, ACC platform and BIM related software
- Good understanding of industry best practice standards and protocols an asset (eg. ISO 19650)
- Basic understanding of construction technologies
- Detailed oriented and excellent analytical/creative problem-solving skills
- Motivated team player with good organizational and time management skills
- Strong interpersonal skills and verbal and written communication
- Ability to give clear instructions and contribute to improvement of office standards
- Support inclusive and respectful office culture
- Industry recognized related BIM or REVIT certification an asset
