The role
It’s a great time to join our growing team as a Biodiversity Infrastructure Manager delivering our conservation strategy and associated action plans, including biodiversity. MAG has existing landscape and habitat management plan obligations and part of this role is to track the progress of these commitments and drive improvements to ensure MAG protect, enhance and manage natural capital within our landholding.
You will also provide a holistic client-side role on capital projects to ensure ecology and habitat requirements are baked into project scope, to advise and guide scope of works for ecology sub-contractors and to review documentation to ensure MAG gets optimum requirement and best value.
You will ensure compliance with MAG’s legal obligations, including on European Protected Species licences, you will oversee delivery of and manage MAG inventory of biodiversity to provide quantitative data to demonstrate net gain and provide data for reporting.
What will make you successful in the role?
You will need to have experience in ecology management, particularly around large complex infrastructure sites. You will be able to guide MAG on our existing landscape and habitat management plans and our emerging conservation strategy and biodiversity improvements, working with multiple internal and external stakeholders and manage projects through to delivery.
Great if you have experience in ISO14001 and biodiversity metrics including UKHab and GRESB. You will need to be a self-starter, who is looking for a challenge and really want to make an impact to our Airports.
