Description:

To strengthen our “Next Generation Sequencing Unit” team, we are looking for a bioinformatician/scientific assistant (full-time 40 hours/week, open-ended and remunerated according to the TV-L) in the area of implementation and execution of bioinformatic analyses in the field of high-throughput nucleic acid analyses/next-generation sequencing as part of a new sequencing unit to be set up at the University Medical Center Rostock as soon as possible. Responsibilities include the development of bioinformatics pipelines for high-throughput data analysis and interpretation in a clinical-diagnostic context. The role also involves participation in national and international networks for nucleic acid data analysis as well as involvement in molecular tumor boards (MTB). Additionally, the position requires support in the bioinformatic implementation of innovative sequencing technologies such as Nanopore-Seq and various other molecular biology methods.
YOUR QUALIFICATION:
- A completed university degree, ideally in bioinformatics, computer science, biology, medical biotechnology, or related fields
- Experience in programming bioinformatic pipelines
- Experience in NGS data analysis, potentially including microarray analysis
- Very good command of English, both written and spoken
- Analytical and goal-oriented approach, responsibility, teamwork, and flexibility, ideally demonstrated in previous work
- Willingness to collaborate with interdisciplinary research teams

Responsibilities:
