Description:
DESCRIPTION
We are looking for someone passionate about computational science and its impact on the life sciences, and who can talk about it for days.
You’ll work closely with our marketing, customer success, sales, and product teams to understand our customers, prospects, their challenges, and our technology. Your role will involve a blend of technical expertise, communication skills, and a passion for computational biology and bioinformatics. You will be an outward-facing thought leader, bringing our strategic narrative to life through consistent communication online, through content, live events, and by connecting with peers in the industry.
REQUIREMENTS
- Experience working as a computational scientist, bioinformatician, or data scientist in the life science industry, preferably within a biotech
- Passionate about advancing the field of bioinformatics and promoting innovative solutions
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to a diverse audience.

- Exceptional writing skills
- Active contributor on any social channels like LinkedIn, X, Reddit and online communities

Responsibilities:
- Internalize Code Ocean’s strategic narrative and develop several streams of topics that can bring it to life
- Build your personal brand on Linkedin through consistent posting and engagement with peers and other thought leaders in the space
- Connect with industry peers and prospects through digital channels and live events; be active in online communities such as Nextflow, Bits in Bio, etc.
- Build a deep understanding of our customers, the work they are doing, and what this means
- Become a subject matter expert in the features, benefits, and application of Code Ocean.
- Work with marketing to ideate and flesh out topics and themes for content production, inclusive of monthly webinars/digital events (interviews, roundtables with industry peers), blogs, conference presentations, and other types of content.
- Create webinar and conference presentation content, research potential topics for roundtable conversations, reach out and coordinate with prospective guests/peers, drive the event content.
