Vanguard Resources, Inc., an Industry-Leader in Facilities Management - in business for 28 years, (STILL family owned & operated), is actively recruiting for a Full-time, Hourly/Non-Exempt, experienced, Biomed/Clinical Engineering Technician (level I or II), at our Client’s Hospital facility, in the quaint little town of Nacogdoches, Texas, working with the amazing team.

Technician MUST possess a clean driving record; this will be validated via MV search.
- Technician position level I or II
- Healthcare experience is preferred
- Technician’s Shift/Schedule: Ideally 8 am – 5 pm, Monday – Friday, unless workload/demands require otherwise; occasional weekend work required as needed
- On-call availability is required for this role.
The following Position Summary is intended as an overview of the experienced Biomed Technician duties- not inclusive of all job-related responsibilities:
This position provides and documents, under supervision, preventive, predictive, metered, interval-based and corrective maintenance on biomedical equipment for the hospital. Performs scheduled and unscheduled inspections, maintenance, and electrical safety tests of biomedical equipment to maintain code compliance.
The ideal candidate will be familiar with Steris equipment or willingness to train/learn STERIS equipment.
Technician is responsible for documenting the results of all inspections, maintenance, and tests. Other duties and projects assigned by Leadership.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- 1+ years of formal training, or education, beyond high school- in the service and maintenance of biomedical equipment; may include military training on electronics or medical equipment.
- Healthcare/Hospital experience preferred
- Recent previous experience in a healthcare BioMed/Clinical Engineering environment is required
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
The selected Candidate will be expected to successfully fulfill the following pre-employment requirements, if offered position:

- Hospital health screenings, and any required immunizations/vaccines (TB testing, Flu vaccine, etc.)
- Clear Motor Vehicle Report (no more than 3 moving violations within past 3 years)
