JOB DESCRIPTION/REQUIREMENTS
The Biomedical Engineer Specialist will be responsible for the design, development, and maintenance of medical devices and equipment. This role requires a strong understanding of biomedical engineering principles and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to ensure the safety and effectiveness of medical technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop biomedical devices and systems in compliance with regulatory standards.
- Conduct testing and validation of medical equipment to ensure functionality and safety.
- Collaborate with clinical staff to assess equipment needs and provide technical support.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to medical devices and systems.
- Maintain documentation related to design processes, testing, and compliance.
- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in biomedical engineering.
- Participate in training and mentoring of junior engineers and interns.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering or a related field.
- 2 to 5 years of experience in biomedical engineering or a related area.
- Strong knowledge of medical device regulations (FDA, ISO, etc.).
- Proficiency in CAD software and engineering analysis tools.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
