Description:
Under direct supervision incumbent performs skilled work including incoming inspections, scheduled maintenance, repair, safety testing, and recording of functional test data. Perform a variety of routine tasks associated with the installation, maintenance, and repair of a range of clinical equipment, and give support and technical assistance to Biomedical Equipment Technicians II and III. Equipment worked on will be a diverse range of therapeutic and diagnostic biomedical instrumentation that tends to have a relatively low complexity and risk level.
The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy.
Your placement within the salary range is dependent on several factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. For positions that are represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement.
The salary range for this position is $51.78 - $64.49 (Hourly Rate).

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- High School Diploma
- Work requires a background in electronics
- Maintenance skills in electronics, mechanical or electromechanical device repair
- Ability to read color codes on wiring and electronic components
- Ability to comprehend and follow both written and oral communications
- Ability to establish and maintain working relationships with co-workers, clinical and medical staff, and the general public
- An elementary knowledge of e-mail, database management, spreadsheet, and word processor applications
- Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays if necessary
- Ability to function in a sterile environment if necessary
- Ability to keep accurate records
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Associate degree in Electronics or Biomedical Equipment Technology or equivalent work experience
