Due to the nature of work that Sonic Healthcare UK undertakes, our clients require that Employees filling certain roles, need, as part of their on-boarding to complete a DBS Check. This role falls in to the category of requiring a DBS check (standard)

There is an exciting opportunity within Health Services Laboratories located at the Whittington Hospital, to recruit a Biomedical Scientist for Biochemistry. Applications are invited from committed, motivated and enthusiastic individuals who wish to extend their skills and be instrumental in moving the department into an exciting future. The newly formed Essential Services Laboratory (ESL) at the Whittington hospital is about to undertake significant upgrades to the facilities and equipment and is a fantastic opportunity for a BMS to be involved in verification of analysers and transfer of service from the current lab to the new ESL following completion of the building works.
If you would like to be involved in shaping the future of the pathology services at HSL and are HCPC Registered with an accredited Biomedical Science Degree and post registration experience, you are invited to apply. Experience of working in a Biochemistry laboratory is essential and experience of verification of equipment/assays would be advantageous. You will be part of a team responsible for the day to day running of the routine Haematology & Blood Transfusion section and have the opportunity to play an integral part in introducing new methodologies and technologies and providing a service of the highest standard to our service users.
The post holder will have opportunities for further development, with responsibilities for quality and training dependent on experience. The department has an excellent training programme to develop staff to realise their potential and career advancement.
You will be working 37.5 hrs per week on a 24/7 shift pattern.
Salaries are comparable with agenda for change pay scales dependent on experience.
