In Biostatistics and Programming, we are passionate about data and technical agility to drive enhanced value for our customers and patients. Determined to improve patient health, we provide statistics, programming and clinical pharmacology expertise through global delivery, consistent quality adherence and scientific insight. Through a procedural framework based on robust planning and specifications, we deliver clinical trial planning and development programs, results of a study and lead the regulatory submissions.

The Biostatistician May act as a lead statistician with mentorship from senior staff to deliver the project statistician tasks/responsibilities, including analysis database creation, statistical analyses, and creation of statistical
tables, listings and figures, and takes lead for specific tasks under close supervision; supports lead statistician on very large, complex studies. May have project management responsibilities.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Master’s degree in statistics, biostatistics, mathematics or related field
  • Previous experience that provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job (comparable to 1+ years’).In some cases an equivalency, consisting of a combination of appropriate education, training and/or directly related experience, will be considered sufficient for an individual to meet the requirements of the role.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES

  • Good SAS® programming skills and understanding of database structures
  • Capable of promoting teamwork in a multi-disciplinary team setting
  • Good understanding of statistical principles and good statistical skills
  • Basic project management skills as shown through management of multiple projects
  • Good written and verbal communications skills, including proficiency in the English language
  • Good organizational skills with the ability to adapt and adjust to changing priorities
  • Positive attitude and the ability to work well with others

Responsibilities:

  • Work is performed in an office environment with exposure to electrical office equipment.
  • Frequently stationary for 6-8 hours per day.
  • Repetitive hand movement of both hands with the ability to make fast, simple, repeated movements of the fingers, hands, and wrists.
  • Frequent mobility required.
  • Occasional crouching, stooping, bending and twisting of upper body and neck.
  • Light to moderate lifting and carrying (or otherwise moves) objects including luggage and laptop computer with a maximum lift of 15-20 lbs
