We are looking for an experienced Blast Crew member to join our Mining – Drill & Blast team at our Cowal (West Wyalong), NSW operations. This will be on going, long-term project work.
Both full-time and casual positions available. DIDO on a company supplied bus with accommodation available for those residing outside the West Wyalong area. Roster is 7:7 (days) – day shift only.

Responsibilities:
THE ROLE
The Blast Crew plays a crucial role in enabling productive mining or construction operations through expert handling of explosive materials and meticulous adherence to operational guidelines.
This role ensures the precise execution of drilling and blasting activities to facilitate the extraction of minerals or construction of infrastructure while adhering to strict safety standards and minimizing environmental impact.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Safely execute drilling and blasting operations following safety protocols
- Prepare blast patterns for efficient fragmentation and environmental protection
- Load and detonate explosives with precision and safety supervision
- Inspect blast areas for safety and environmental compliance
- Maintain blasting equipment and tools in optimal condition
- Coordinate blasting schedules with mining or construction teams to minimize operational disruptions
