The Position: We are looking for a candidate who will be performing the role of a Blue Force Tracker (BFT) / Research Analyst IV, supporting ACMC, the Aerial Communications and Mission Command team.
The Location: Huntsville, AL
The Work Environment: On-Site.
Requires the employee to work on-site at the government program office. The employee may be required to walk short distances to offices/conference rooms and buildings on site.

THE DESCRIPTION:

Serves as Blue Force Tracker-Aviation (BFT-A) subject matter expert for system testing, integration, components, and overall operations. Uses knowledge of Joint Capabilities Release (JCR), Joint Battle Command-Platform (JBC-P) software, networks, and Mission Command products and how they interoperate with Army Aircraft Systems to assist with new firmware and software drops. Responsible for working directly with hardware and software vendors in identifying, testing, and recommending new technology and software for integration into the BFT-A architecture. Assists with Army Interoperability Certification (AIC) testing and Systems Readiness Directorate (SRD) reviews for airworthiness. Applies extensive integration, maintenance, and troubleshooting experience with BFT-A systems on US Army AH-64D/E, CH-47F, UH-60L/M/V, numerous fixed wing platforms, and other aircraft within the DoD. Will interface with a diverse group of internal and external stakeholders at all levels within the Army.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support to Field Service Representatives and Army personnel performing organic maintenance.
  • Operate and maintain BFT-A test equipment with minimal oversight.
  • Provide training and technical oversight to Jr. BFT-A Technician and other teammates with less experience, knowledge, or expertise.
  • Serve as COMSEC custodian for BFT-A.
  • Perform analysis of new firmware and software drops as it pertains to Blue Force Tracking Aviation systems.
  • Update, review, and develop drawings, Modification Work Orders, and Technical Manuals.
  • Maintain and develop training materials for Field Service Representatives and Army personnel performing organic maintenance.
  • Assist with Site Surveys and New Material Introductory Briefings (NMIB) to unit leadership in advance of system fielding.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • Active DoD Secret Clearance, required.
  • Bachelor’s Degree with eight (8) years of related experience.
