Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)

REQUIREMENTS / QUALIFICATIONS

Education/Experience-Masters degree in Psychology, Education or related field.Valid Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification.Two years of experience working with individuals with challenging behaviors. At least two years supervisory experience overseeing behavior reduction and clinical programming required.Must be certified or become certified by the Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) in non-violent crisis interventions (NCPI).Knowledge of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) science and evidenced based practices: discrete trial training, behavior skills training/staff training, classroom management systems, data-based decision making, social skills teaching, teaching PECS/AAC, and conducting functional analysis/behavior intervention plans. Experience in goal writing/progress monitoring, graphing/visual analysis, using various data collection methods, and strong report writing skills.Highly preferred to have knowledge of Federal and state laws that apply to the assessment of students referred due to disruptive or assaultive behaviors; IDEA and Behavior Analyst Certification Board ethical guidelines to address behavior and develop positive behavioral support plans.
