We are currently seeking nominations to stand for election to the Board of Directors.

Responsibilities:

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

Each year, North Central Co-operative Association Ltd. seeks nominations for our Board of Directors. Within our organizational structure, Board Directors speak and act on behalf of members. The Board has responsibility for the following matters:

  • Monitoring performance of the Co-op;
  • Applying and interpreting complex information presented at meetings in order to render sound and impartial decisions;
  • Participating in the planning process, reviewing Co-op goals, strategies and annual budgets;
  • Dealing with complex membership matters in a professional and courteous manner;
  • Promote impartial and transparent proceedings while maintaining necessary Board Director confidentiality;

Qualifications to run for a Board Director role are found in our bylaws and are highlighted as part of the online application process. Additionally, the skills and education that a potential Board member has that can contribute to the success of North Central Co-op include but are not limited to:

  • An understanding and appreciation of Co-op values and the Co-op principals;
  • Interest in, and general knowledge of North Central Co-operative Association Ltd. lines of business;
  • Experience/education of expertise in accounting, business or financial management;
  • The ability to articulate views in discussions along with well-developed communication skills;
  • Has demonstrated capacity in and commitment to work within a team;
  • Computer skills required to organize, interpret and present information
