HVAC & BOILER TECHNICIAN -EXPERIENCED APPRENTICE OR JOURNEYMAN - UNION POSITION

MSB is a multidisciplinary team of plumbers, fitters, welders, technicians, Sheet Metal fabricators, and installers. MSB Serves local school boards, data centres, industrial and commercial office buildings , municipality buildings, condominium and other commercial properties and in York Region, Brampton , Durham, Mississauga & Toronto.
MSB is looking for a lead/foreman technician to join its highly versatile team. MSB performs service of Heating, Cooling and Gas systems for commercial equipment. As part of MSB, this technician role would further support the construction team on various installations.
Including: Power burners, Make Up Air units, RTU’s, plumbing/heating systems, BAS and pump repair.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Valid Driver’s License (G) and Transportation
• Valid 313A
• G1 preferred
• Valid WHMIS and Working at Heights Certification
• 3+ Years of Experience working on RTU’s, MUA’s, AHUs, Boilers
• Hydronic and Boiler experience a must
• Clean Criminal record required for work in government buildings
• Work orders are completed using digital software making technology experience essential
• MUA, power burner and large commercial equipment experience
• Previous experience leading technicians , a providing assistance with quoting repairs and pricing preventative maintenance contracts

• Thorough understanding of mechanical systems required for inspection, troubleshooting, service, and maintenance
• Great problem solver, highly adaptable and high attention to detail
• Good at both teamwork and individual work

• Assist with quotations
• Act as foreman to in-field technicians
• Inspect, troubleshoot, service, and maintain heating systems
• Provide exceptional customer service and ensure clients are informed of all work completed
• Coordinate and communicate all duties with the office and manager
• Complete and submit all required electronic work orders and reports using tablets and hand held devices
• Assist the construction team on installations
